Learning about the business panorama and Basque innovation is the main objective of the journey, organised by the Global Innovation Department in Tokyo University, in which six female and eight male students travelled to the Basque Country to visit various social companies with their headquarters in Donostia, Bilbao and Arrasate-Mondragón. The group of young Japanese students also attended an innovation seminar held jointly with Basque students in the University of Deusto in which they studied and discussed the challenges facing the companies Euskaltel and Urbegi. Finally, they visited the Corporación Mondragón and Gernika-Lumo, as a symbol of peace. The idea of this programme is that young Japanese university students have can access to internships in Basque companies expanding in Japan.
